MindTel is currently developing deployable medical sensors for a variety of homeland security applications. For the development of a custom medical sensor for a mobile robot, MindTel will apply best efforts to develop an operational unit which will provide the basic medical information needed to provide the medical personal a reasonable assessment of the vital status of the victims. The cost for the initial unit is a function of the various medical sensors to be provided.

The following is a “best guess” estimate for the initial unit

Cost = $20,000

            Spo2 sensor – $2,000

            8 lead vital signs sensor suit (Welch Allyn or Cleveland medical devices) – 8,000

            Physio-acoustic non-contact pulse and breathing measurement system – 4,000

            Integration and testing 6,000

Mindtel is committed to developing and deplo9ing useful technologies for the SaR community
